ACCENT REDUCTION

Each 20-hour session helps participants enunciate more clearly, thereby making participants easier to understand.  Diagnostic testing, extensive listening and pronunciation drills lead to the desired clarity of speech.   Participants learn the technical aspects of pronunciation such as the intonation, stress and syllables of English or French.  These skills enable the participants not only to understand their individual speech difficulties but also to correct themselves.  Audio and videotape are used to provide feedback.

Accent Reduction Program includes:

• Need assessment in consultation with your organization
• End of session progress report
• Photocopies which detail the pronunciation point emphasized in each class
• Certificate of completion
